Age Freeze Answers
I can a have a perfect conversation with an adult, but around kids my age I freeze up... any advice?
Q. I tend to have a high level of conversation. I talk about politics, visits to foreign countries, cultures and science. My friends talk about who did what in history class, and throw in a couple curse words into the mix. Honestly, I've lost all interest in communicating with those my age, so that created a big gap. There are very few I can talk to. Otherwise, I put on a fake mask and pretend to be interested. I'm kinda disappointed in this generation and their lack of intelligent conversation. I wish people would understand my caliber of conversation, but at the same time I've developed a bit (more than a bit...) of an icy, loner, ant-social side so I'm kinda to blame. Any advice to get rid of my social retardation?

A. I wouldn't worry about it; just be yourself. And enjoy your conversations with adults when they happen if that is where you are the most comfortable. As long as it's appropriate; couldn't hurt. =)

Hypothetically speaking, if 1/3 of the world was to freeze, as in the historical Ice Age, from all the area?
Q. from all the area north of the 50-degree north latitude, what type of climate would the rest of the world experience? What do you think the new climate zones would be?
Asked by somanyquestions - Sat Sep 6 00:13:16 2008 - Geography - 1 Answers - Comments
A. first of all if it froze, it would be because it is cold. most of the earth will lose summer and get winter and colder winter. there would be avalanches, and snow storms and it would be as if the whole workd is what is today antarctica. penguins will have a field day though AM

How do I freeze the age of my Sims on Sims 2 if I have a Mac computer?
Q. How can I? Please don't say control-shift-c. I am using MAC. Not windows. It's very different. If someone would answer this, it would be much appreciated.

A. As far as I know, the cheats console is opened the same in both PC and Mac. See the first link in my source for more info. NOTE: Granted, I don't own a Mac, but that's what it says in the thread in my source. The second link is to The Sims Resource Mac forums for The Sims 2.

Is it possible to: freeze grades or give good grades on sims 2? Also can I age faster? Yes or no? HELP!!! FAST?
Q. Are these things possible? Are there cheats for these? And I want to age faster because sometimes the teen years are too long. thank you in advance! MY SIMS 2 is on my computer!
Asked by Just another Megan - Sun Sep 28 19:38:02 2008 - Video & Online Games - 2 Answers - Comments
A. I dont know how to freeze grades but you can age faster. First open up the cheat bar when in a family by holding down shift-control-c all at once. then type in the following without the dash - boolprop testingcheatsenabled true- once you have done that shift click on your person. You can go through one that i dont remember what it says but you can look through all of them. this one is on the first page of the pie menu left side. Once you click it click more, then click on sim modder. once you do that a little fake baby will appear by your sim. click on it and click age...then click the sim you want to age... then click what you want your sim to age into. I hope this helped you .

why would the sea levels around the world lower or drop in an ice age/global freeze?
Q. wouldnt the amount of frozen water or ice created from a global freeze just displace the water it is in and keep the sea levels the same? when i try to think about it and imagine it in my head i just thougt of a full glass of water and how if i take half of that water out of the glass and freeze it and then put it back into the original glass with the other half of the water that is not frozen the amount of water the ice displaces would bring back the water level in the cup back to the rim. is this logic correct or does someone have the answer to my original question?
Asked by Bob - Fri Jan 8 04:20:11 2010 - Earth Sciences & Geology - 5 Answers - Comments
A. I think you get the point that sea level changes in response to the storage of water as ice in land-based glaciers. Currently, there is enough land based ice on earth to account for about 75 meters of sea level. That is, if that ice were to melt, sea level would rise by about 75 meters. For comparison purposes, sea level is thought to have risen about 30 meters (give or take a bit) during the major ice melt period of about 10-15 thousand years ago. Sea levels are thought to have been as much as something around 120 meters lower than today during the maximum period of glaciation. That is a lot of ice. EDIT. Oh, just to put it in terms of your analogy, it is like the ice is formed up on the rim of your glass, and because it isn't in contact… [cont.]

Would you freeze your age, if given the chance?
Q. This is kind of like a fountain of youth question...that my American Lit. teacher asked us to write a paper on. Please constructive answers and please explain why. I am really interested in everyones opinions because there are so many different sides to this question. What do you think would be the good or bad of deciding to stay a certain age forever? What kinds of emotions do you have? How would you choose a specific age? I would greatly appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking time to answer my question.

A. Robert Frost wrote this poem: Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. - It was used very effectively in the book "The Outsiders", and is now often used to describe ancient civilizations that collapsed, etc. Now, you ask "Would you like to stay a certain age forever?" I'd have to say "no." No one truly wants to get older and age into an elderly person, yet I doubt that anyone would want to live forever and watch the world change for the better and the worse (Would America s early political leaders like the shape our government is in now?), watch their… [cont.]

Back in the 70s, the left kept warning us of the coming ice age in which we were all going to freeze to death?
Q. and I was wondering if that was getting here anytime soon? Or was it cancelled out by global warming? Or are we going to freeze and burn at the same time? What exactly is going on? I bought lots of sweaters, so please advise. @Shadow...That link is great lol!!! Thanks for posting it.

A. Try copying the contents of the CD somewhere to your hard drive and run setup.exe or whatever the file for the setup is called. I'm not positive if this will work or not, but it's worth a try. You may have to burn these files to a new CD.

A. I doubt that this is truly the only question that need concern us nowadays. Passing current through mercury creates a magnetic field, as it does with any conductor; mercury can superconduct, with the associated magnetic effects; but mercury itself cannot be magnetized (it's not ferromagnetic).

Why does my Dragon Age Origins freeze at the loading screen? (Xbox 360)?
Q. Okay, I'm at the sloth deamon quest and every time I defeat him, I'm supposed to leave the fade, but the game freezes EVERY time at the loading screen. The game is in perfect condition and I even installed it to my hard drive to see if that would do anything. Can someone help? What can I do other than starting over? P.S. if it helps with your answer, you should know that it's not just the game that freezes because I tried the home button on the controller and the 360 isn't responding until I restart it. (And i really don't want to send it back again... : / )

If you could freeze an age to live forever at what age would you choose, or would you choose to at all?
Q. any reason for your decision
Asked by Christine - Fri Mar 21 06:25:36 2008 - Polls & Surveys - 27 Answers - Comments
A. I would say probably 22, because I broke up after a five year relationship just before I was 21, in aus, we can vote and drink at 18, but it took awhile to get over the betrayal with an ex coworker (who used to listen into our phone calls then threw herself at him and got pregant, thank god I found out then) and early enough to stop my mum from smoking so she wouldnt have got cancer and died, so yep, was pretty happy and free and carefree at 22, no worries, owned a car, did what I wanted and when I wanted too, had money to burn, was rising in my career and actually enjoyed it, thats a really good question, it makes you stop and evaluate things, I reckon that deserves a star for being thought provoking, good on ya!
