Q. The power of the executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious, and the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist." -- Winston Churchill "Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." -- Harry S. Where does ones soul go if one is cryonically frozen at minus 320 degrees fahrenheit?
Q. In other words, all those people who were frozen at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation 'moments' before they were supposed to die can theroretically be revived. Therefore, they aren't dead. Hence, during this of stasis does their soul remain in their body or has it moved on, even though they are not dead?
Asked by Pankration - Wed Jul 11 14:43:26 2007 - - 23 Answers - 0 Comments

A. In theory they are still alive. If they are truly alive, then they are in cold storage for now, much like someone who is in a coma. If they are dead, they are no longer in their frozen bodies and have moved on. If they are still alive, they haven't moved on. God knows the difference.

Atheists: what if you could (artificially) live forever?
Q. This will be long. But interesting: Most atheists, including myself, believe that there is no afterlife. So, are we all just resigned to oblivion after death? There might just be an outside chance that Cryogenics will one day be able to artificially revive someone's conscious in the future onto a machine, thus preserving that person's mind indefinitely. It sounds preposterous. Many a cheesy sci-fi movie has been made exploiting this phenomenon. And yet, new scientific research suggests that this may one day possible. The process is as follows: 1) Freeze and preserve yourself upon death with Cryonics. You'll need to pay a company such as Alcor a substantial amount of money in advance. 2) Wait in your frozen cocoon until a future… [cont.]

Thin Limp Hair?
Q. My hair is majorly limp flat and thin and i usually wear clip in extensions to add life. But theyre not allowing them at school next year(!!!) I will look horrible, especially as they are disallowing make-up as well! Even foundation.. Dont bother saying "concentrate on your studies" etcetc, because i do and im a grade a student, i just spend time on my appearance. Anyway, what can I do? The clips on the extensions give my hair loads of volume, but were not allowed them next year, so would glueing them in have the same effect? Please help!!! Thanks xxx

A. Dang; do you go to school or prison? Use Dove Pro-Age shampoo and conditioner. It adds thickness to your hair. Use a volumizing moose after you get out of the shower.

Extension on SAHP question?
Q. Considering that raising a child, managing a household and all that it entails is time consuming; would that not be just as important as being a breadwinner? A solid home life is important for most people, because they get their sense of stability and safety in the world from a solid foundation. Example, my grandparents home was always a safe haven, even when times got rough. This is presuming the partner is involved, and not just smoking blunts and playing video games, ext. all day. ( male or female ) There is a difference between being lazy and not wanting to contribute, or being actively involved with nourishing the family unit. Just asking, not passing judgment either way.

A. I think having one parent at home is a good idea if you can afford it, better than dumping the children in daycare, in my opinion. I personally fall somewhere between the being involved and playing video games (or in my case answering questions onyahoo answers). I do not work 24/7 like some stay-at-home spouses claim they do (and I always wonder how they manage to do without any sleep), and although I do a moderate amount of housework I take frequent breaks. But the children seem to be happy, and that for me is the point of it all.

Before I used to be a skinny brown haired book worm with glasses and braces, and since i got my braces removed, I bleached my hair platinum blonde, got colored contacts, started tanning (in so bronzed) and I started wearing clip in hair extensions to make my hair fuller and super long! I also started wearing makeup from MAC, (foundation, bronzer, pink lip liner, pink lip gloss, black eyeliner, mascara, and different colored eyeshadows mainly blue and black with fake eyelashes) I even turned in my baggy tshirts and jeans in for cuter more expensive clothes (mini skirts from hollister, tanks, tube tops, high heels, mini skirts, abercrombie and fitch, gstrings,… [cont.]

The section that collapsed is 10ft high 2 ft thick and 25 ft long. The builder states he followed the architects plans. My suspision is that he didnt and has undermined the wall. However , should the architect be to blame for not appointing a Structural engineer at planning stage. Should the builder have stoppedwork when he started to undermine the party wall. To complicate matters the builder lives in the house next door! Lifes never simple! Therefore it is in his interest to sort it also. We are talking 30 tonnes of stone moved yesterday. A. You get a solicitor and sue them... never do serious business with friends, family or neighbours. Get a solicitor who is experienced in this form of contract law and let them assess liability. I just hope you have more luck finding a reputable solicitor than builder.

Carolyn McCarthy says the effects of bullying are becoming more severe. But on April 6, after enduring what his mother called "relentless" bullying at school, Carl hanged himself with an extension cord in the family's Springfield, Massachusetts, home. "What could make a child his age despair so much that he would take his own life? A. There was a Q not to long ago about the Lori Drew case. She was considered responsible for the death of a 13yo girl due to bullying. The thing that bothered me about that most... she convinced her daughter to participate. And I think that's part of the problem. I think a lot of your bullies are just replicating what they've seen from their parents. Bullying is a lot like hate, racism, and intolerance- it's a learned behavior. Bullying is blamed for so many kids taking their own lives, and sometimes blamed for kids taking the lives of others. Do we not see that now? Do we get it yet? Bullying is not just a humorous right of passage anymore. It is a cruelty that is leading to death. And yet parents are still supporting bullying, teasing,… [cont.]

A. Actually, people should learn to take care of themselves and stop wasting the tax payers money. Many people will go to a doctor at the first sign of a simple sniffle. The public should practice more alternative medicine techniques. Alternative medicine was here long before modern medicine. The indian people used herbs long before Columbus ever set foot on the soil at Plymouth Rock.

You are taking control of your health and want to be responsible for it now. You've had enough of this and that and are ready to move on with your life. That is the attitude that will heal you! Keep using that energy/power. Below is an article based on my research and biased opinion. I wrote this article below awhile back and all the points are important. Does anyone take Dr. Whitaker's or Life Extension Foundation's multi-nutrient vitamin regimens?
Q. I'm considering starting a daily multi-nutrient regimen (a la Kat James) and I'm wondering if anyone else takes either Dr. Whitaker's Forward Plus Daily Regimen or LEF's Life Extension Mix Capsules, or something similar, and what you think. Can you comment on the long-term efficacy of Arimidex as a treatment for the reduction of estrogen in males?
Q. I am a 45 year old male with high estradiol levels (Estrogen E2), which interferes with my body's ability to make use of my available testosterone. This condition requires medical treatment. I followed the advice of Life Extension Foundation's article "Male Hormone Modulation Therapy", and took a 7 week trial to reduce my estrogen naturally using Chrysin and DIM, combined with absorption enhancers Zinc, Vitamin E, and peperine. Unfortunately my estradiol is still a bit high. The article states that when natural therapies fail, the only alternative is to receive a treatment of Arimidex (Anastrazole) in a very small dose.
